Acrylic on canvas- 24 x 36" 2014, by Laura Ackerman. Based on Oriental carpet patterns, this large painting has three central "guls" (carpet designs) which have horse and riders galloping all over them. It's a long night ride to the annual horse fair, and these riders are enjoying the journey. Two goddess/ Ishtar figures bless their travels towards the bottom of the painting, while stars wheel around them. This painting has finished edges (black), and wire ready for hanging.
